I have a Kohler 24hp that breaks down on load. It starts and runs until I try to mow I get about two or three minutes before it loads up and really struggles. The plugs are sooty black and changing them doesn't help. Gas is fresh, new filter. Ideas?

How long has it been since you put a new air filter on it? Sounds like it is running rich, too much fuel. If the air filter is plugged up, this will cause that condition.

How many hours and what model tractor are you working on?
