124 Muffler
 

Doing some mowing yesterday when all the sudden things got real
loud. Blew the whole end out of the muffler.

When looking around the ol web for another I see everything ranging
from 30 dollars to a hundred. They all claim to be the perfect one.

Are all these the same basic muffler from you know where or is there
an actual difference? I don't mind spending the money for the part I
just don't want to spend 100 for a 30 dollar muffler. Kinda concerned about
fit and such.

Most of the new mufflers are likely to be aftermarket. If shopping on FleaBay, pay attention to where it ships from. But still, any ships from USA is likely to come from over the pond.

However, if Im tempted to buy a muffler, I would put some consideration into buying from CC Speciaties (sponsor above). They have part number IH-393840-R91 with welded ends. Priced in the higher middle.... and shipping.

That is probably the direction I will go, I looked at that one among
many others. Seems like the middle of road deal.
Any one else out there ever buy a muffler for a 124?

I bought this on on Fleabay about a year ago (it was ten bucks cheaper then).
It's called Rotary 8284.
Seems well made with quality.
I guess time will tell.
