Transplanted New Yorker living in VA. Picked up a 122 Cub Cadet for plowing purposes I was told it’s a 1969. It’s got issues so look for posts with questions.

Welcome to Only Cub Cadets! Nice looking 122! That series was made from 1965-1967, so it is not a 1969. You can use this chart to look up your serial number to find the month and year it was built: https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...ead.php?t=7114
The serial number should be on a tag on the back of the transmission.

Thank you for the info. Is the tag stamped or painted because if you look at the attached picture it’s been painted over and I don’t want to lose the serial number by using paint stripper

It should be stamped. That does not look like the factory location for the tag though. It should be on the bottom left corner. Unless they put them there for a short time? Maybe someone else knows.

From the manual

Ok since it’s stamped I’ll try paint stripper. There is no tag lower left on axle or pumpkin so I’ll try upper right tag since it look like it’s riveted. Thanks guys

Thanks to all for the Welcomes.
My addictions run more to cars and specifically right now a 1989 Foxbody GT Vert with 54000. So for right now the Cub will be done on a budget but done correctly.

My Prediction:
The Mustang will eventually get stationed in a back corner of the garage with a cover over it in order to provide space for additional cubs!
