Noise on 1315 deck
For some reason, the pully on the deck for the belt from the motor to deck is scraping up against the deck lift mechanism. I am lost and confuse as to why this is happening. Can someone who has had this problem before tell me why and how to correct it. Thank you. Jody

I don't have a 1315, but I guess I would start and check all the lift arms - see if they're bent, assembled properly, ensuring they're all attached (are there any missing pins), etc. Next, be sure the pulley itself is correct and that it's not wobbling or loose. Check any springs. Like I said, I don't have a 1315 or any of that series. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Not sure if the lift rods are installed correctly. But, it works there. The deck pully is right up against the lift mechanism though. Not sure why there. I can rotate the lift rods, but that only makes about a 1/4 difference and when I tried that, it broke off the pins on the lift mechanism. Thank God I had a second one! But, I dont dare use the tractor too much at this point!

I was wondering if this problem may be caused by the belt being too small, thus pulling the deck forward. I pulled the belt off and it left the pully over 1/2 behind the lift mechanism. Can any one tell me what size belt should be on it. Thank you.
