LT1045 switch on clutch
PTO wouldn’t work after reattaching deck. There is a switch on the clutch that has a broken wire. I don’t know its exact function and illustrated parts list calls it an interlock. I don’t know if it was already broken, tractor came with the house. I know some safety features are already disabled, like seat switch and I don’t need to put key switch in reverse to back up even with PTO engaged ( Back when it worked).
My questions are, 1 function of that switch? 2. What engages clutch when PTO switch is on? 3. Does the wire connector just pull straight off, or is there a release tab or the like? Thanks |
I pulled the clutch today, which was pretty easy. The wire had been previously spliced and I improved a bit on that, then encapsulated the repair in silicone.
Seems clear this isn’t an interlock as the IPL says, and is the actuation source. I must have pulled apart the previous repair when twisting the pulley to get the belt on. It will be easier to reattach the deck now that I have done it once. It was certainly MUCH easier to detach it second time around. |
