Sleeve hitch question
 

I have purchased a sleeve hitch with floating arms. While looking at different sleeve hitches, I see some have a bent disc with a hole in the center. What is this disc for? Mine doesn't have this disc, is it needed?

It is for sway control.....

You'll definitely need it.

I have done a lot of plowing and never used one of those. I don't think it's the end of the world if you don't have one.

Admittedly I have never plowed, however I do use a box blade, cultivators and a disk. I have several sleeve hitch adapters but no draft plates, never had any problems without one.

I'll have to plow without it next time, to see if there is any difference.

The stablizer plate is needed if your attachment has a single hole hitch.
