A lawn vac! I use this every time I cut,and it works great with my fall leaf problem. I tell you I have owned it for 5 years and couldent be with out it!

Were those pictures, Taken Before or After mowing,

If it's after, Then It wouldn't work well down here, If it's before and nothing is left, Then That would work.

Because I've only got 1 Tree, and it's an evergreen...

Does it work well, when the grass is Tall, and a little damp, If it would, I've been thinking of getting either one of those, or a lawn sweeper, just pondering...

That was before I mowed. It does work great! I have just shy of 2 acres and I only mow once every 2 weeks because I use the vac. All my neabors are mowing 1-2 times a week. Yes it will clog if the grass is wet when mowing fast. Better if you slow down when wet! I had previously owned a pull behind lawn sweeper. Well I sold it when I used this. I will tell you, if this one would brake I would buy another. Thats how much I like this thing! Warning! Try one and you will own one!

When you don't use a vac and just a mulching blade it puts important organic nutrients back in to your soil. Also not very green using 2 engines instead of just 1. Backing up would also be a small problem and finally the cost is greater than most would be willing to spend. In the end as an American you have the choice to do as you wish!:American Flag 1:

Not sure what kind of leaves you have, but the oak trees in my yard dump a lot of leaves, and they'd have to be mowed over about 4 times with gator blades to mulch them, and if that's done and they're left there, the grass dies. One trip around with the trac-vac and they're gone, with half the fuel used. These are no harder to back up than any other trailer. Our 30-year-old Cub Cadets aren't very 'green' in the first place anyway...

Leaves maybe but grass no. Backing up not a problem but when mowing at the end of every row and backing up every time is a PITA . A bagger would be better in this application. Yea these old tanks aren't very green to begin with but adding to it only makes things worse. Now for the fun side of things. It would give you more seat time and new toys are always good.

I considered getting one of those, but I'm still relatively young. I may change my mind in 10 to 15 years. My plot is nearly 1 acre, so I have a little more than .5 acre to mow. The trees on my property that drop the largest volume of leaves are 4 red maples, and 1 pin oak. The 4 red maples range from 55-75 ft. high, and the pin oak is now about 55 ft. high. I have a corner lot, and the downed leaves can get quite thick, as the red maples are concentrated in the 'sweeping corner' area. A lawn sweeper is out of the question. (I thought about it earlier this year, but laughed the more I thought about it.) At least the city picks up the leaves if the owner moves them to the edge of the street. (Big vac.-shredder truck.) So, I just made a block off plate for my 38" deck, and mowed away. Just did it this afternoon and it worked pretty good. Chopped them up. And minimal hand raking before winter comes. The thing is, I'll have to do it again at least 1-2 more times yet, as the red maples have only lost about 1/4 of their leaves. :IH Logo: Ahhhh.... more seat time I guess.

Oh, if you look at the older Cub Cadets in a different way. They are "green" in a way. Think of all the use they have gotten over the years. Not thrown out. It takes more resources yet to produce new. And, the old ones have nearly no plastic on them what-so-ever.
