Only Cub Cadets - A funny thing about non-cub friends

A little back story before I get to the point.

I used to be into RC cars big time. I managed my buddies indoor RC track with hobby shop, picked up alot of RC related gear that I thought that I needed or just wanted. I started selling off my collection and was able to purchase my 122 with the money this past spring. I had some cars that were special to me and had been putting off selling even tho my wife was always asking when I was going to list them for sale. I started calling around to some of my rc friends and seeing what they wanted of my collection before I posted them on eBay.

I was able to get some parts sold and had to drop them off at my buddies house on my way to exchange the kids with my wife and take the truck to work. Well my buddy has a slot car track and my son fell in love with it! He let my son make some laps and Evan was/is hooked! And I told my self I'd try a little harder to sell off what I had to get Evan his own track from Santa. The poor kid has it bad he's dreaming about slot cars has picked out a track set he wants and everything. Plus I needed more cub stuff! hehe

So word has gotten around about Evan getting hooked on slot cars and me wanting to sell off all my gas rc cars and I got a call from another buddy of mine that works at another hobby shop and tells me he wants to stop by and see what I'm getting rid of. I was getting text messages from him asking me what all I wanted to part with and I told him everything gas! He was shocked that I was even willing to get rid of my gas cars. Evan and I still play with the electric cars so those stay but the gas cars are to much for him to handle. He asks me which set Evan wants and he give me some advice on sets and we make a time for him to stop by and see what all I've got.

Mark shows up with the slot car set Evan wants and we talk RC stuff and he goes where the heck is this cub that I keep hearing about! He says our friend Andy goes into the hobby shop and they talk about me and Andy says man all Duke talks about any more is that cub cadet that he got. Tells Mark that the only text messages I send out any more are pics of the cub! Marks like I've got to see this thing! He tells me Andy wants try and talk me into letting him use 122 to fill in a low spot in his yard. I let him know the loader is off and I'll send him pics when I get it back on, but he wants to see it as is. He some how talks me into let him take it for a spin around the yard just to see what the big deal is. He comes around the corner of the house with a huge grin of his face. We talk about what all I'm able to and what I've done with the cub and he's like I've got to get me one of those!

We ended up talking more about my cub then RC cars or slot cars. He also purchased everything I wanted to sale, and we filled his Mita full of RC cars and parts and he's got to come back for more. We all ended up getting what we wanted, I got Evan's slot car set for x-mas, Mark got my collection of RC cars and parts and I got more money for more cubs, and I even gave my wife some money so she can finish up x-mas shopping. So a great deal for all of us.

I really got a kick about what my other/non-cub friends think of my new hobby. I love how they get into my cub once they see it and see it in action. When we talk or text they always ask about the cub or reply to the pics I send out.
