Great looking Lo Boy! Glad it still has the grille shell. Most of them are gone on those. Awesome find! :beerchug:

I passed up a 154 about a month ago. I was really, really, really wanting it, but then after listening to some other members I passed on it for what I was wanting to do with it. I'd still love to have one at some time, but I guess I'm dreaming of a SGT now. They are very sweet though!!!

Hi MrCubCadet: Congratulations!!...You will love it as I do my 154. For estate type maintenance you can't beat one. I maintain grass and brush control on about 11 acres with mine.
Urgent Recommendation: Make sure you obtain the Operator's Manual, the Service Manual and the Parts Manual. Each manual has information not found in the others!! Ya need all three, then you need to actually read them and follow all prescribed maintenance procedures found therein. They are available from Forum Sponsor: Binder Books. Have you put grease (not too much !!) in that Zerk on the PTO shaft?? Have you removed the plug, inserted a zerk and greased the distributor shaft?? Hmmm... Most PO's never bothered to read their manuals and thus these critical points never get lubed according to instructions in the manual..but they will kill your tractor if you don't. ....BTW, did I mention that reading the manuals are necesary?? My 154 runs and operates as good today as it did when it was new because I follow those manuals religiously... |

Great looking tractor! All the sheet metal looks straight, which is rare. There are usually lots of dings. This just fuels my desire for a 184 that I will own someday.....someday.

Nice tractor!
My 154 & 184 aren't as pretty as that one but they still run very strong, just have an occasional wiring issue, but enjoy the both of them. |
