Oil Seal for Spindle

Thought I had on order for some oil seals $ 2.50 each order was canceled due to discontinued. Anyone know of a cheaper supplier of oil seal or cross reference no. for Napa then cub cadet . Oil seal 473428-R92 , Stens # was 240511 but seems discontinued . Thanks

Just get the I.D., O.D. and the thickness of the seal and take the dimensions to napa and they should be able to set you up. I have had very good luck at my local napa. Nearest bearing and seal house is 35 miles from me so I always check napa first.

IH-473428-R92 is still available from Cub Cadet, This can be obtained from your local Cub Cadet or Case-IH dealers. It is also available from the Sponsors listed at the top of this page.

I was hoping not to have to spend $6 - $8 a seal plus shipping . No local dealers by me. Thanks , I will get the dimensions of my seal and see if my local Napa dealer can hook me up . They sold me the bearings and cups , only $10 a set .

I'm kinda in the same boat as you, Hubman. I'm rebuilding the spindles on my deck. My seals look brand new, still as pliable and snug on the spacers like a new one, but I'm hesitant to reuse something that old, and I'd hate to have to tear it apart again a couple years down the road just to save a couple bucks today.
Anyways, I cross referenced the seals to Chicago Rawhide, SKF #530484, but they're still just as pricey at my bearing joint as the IH Cub ones. Maybe your NAPA can cross to another brand.

Thanks for the information, My Napa dealer had trouble cross referencing he took the IH # and came up with a Napa # but the OD was wrong it was 1.756 instead of 1.781 or 1.785 . I find it hard to believe with a common bearing from Timken LM11949 and Cup LM11910 that the seal for this dimension is hard to find locally. But I am having trouble . I spent too much time bought from one of the sponsors added in some new blades to offset shipping cost on 2 seals. I wish I was not so impatient , every time I think I need a part I order only to find out 3 days later I need another part . I hate shipping charges. lol

I know you already ordered from a sponsor, but here is a link to another thread concerning oil seals from NAPA.

Ash , Thanks that will help in future . Napa # 10034 . I will run that buy the guys at my local Napa .

Edit ; Just checked that # 10034 online at Napa , it states thickness is .469" thick . the IH # is only .25 "thick does not look like a direct replacement. While the Chicago Rawhide # CR 530484 does look like the correct replacement . Found that at KSC Direct $5.07 each. but shipping was the same so bought from a sponsor.
