That should work no problems. The 'A' on the end means adjustable so it will work on both NF & WF's. If it came off a WF then you will have to adjust it to fit your NF. If you rather have a NF blower, I have a complete one here QA42 that we can work a deal/trade on.

I'm asking cause I have an oppurtunity to get a qa36a for $125, in good shape, not sure if control and lift rods are there or not though. This would be to back up my cc36 that I'm almost done putting back together. Thanks:beerchug:

We had a pretty lengthy discussion on another forum about using an "A" thrower on a non-QA NF, and it looks like some modifications would have to be made, even though it is supposed to just bolt on. Some of the holes don't line up. And FYI, the "A" is not for "adjustable"...I've been corrected for that before, as there is also a "B" model that is basically the same thing but for the 82 series. "B" can't mean 'adjustable', too.

One last thing, a 7 hp engine would have a really hard time with a 42" thrower.

Your QA 36A will fit on your 71.Like matt says a 42" is much for a 7 hp.Why trade it? Besides one day you may pick up a wide frame...

Thanks guys!

Ya, I thought a 42" would be to much for the k161, even the k181 I imagine would struggle with a 42". Thanks Matt, was starting to wonder if qa's fit on a non-qa nf:beerchug:
