IH 100 snowthrower attach

Hello IH enthusiast .

I am new guy .great site. I need some guidance. I have a 100 with hydraulic lift and snow blade.I just purchased a QA42A snowthrower. Supposedly this should bolt up. The 100 doesn't have the Frankenstein bolts or quick disconnects. There is index holes on the frame, one hole has threads. This is the hole that I was going to use to bolt the blower to first then weld Frankenstein bolts in the spot needed for the blower to hook.is this enough support for the blower or do I have to fabricate a bracket for the nubs [quick disconnect] If any body has hooked up a QA42A blower to a cub 100.let me know if I am going in the right direction..or give me some hot tips and pictures.thanks for your help

This came up recently on another forum, and the concensus was that there used to be a kit to allow it to be bolted onto non-QA tractors. There are some extra brackets that would allow it to be bolted to the frame with no modifications. I would suggest not welding stuff to the frame. The easiest thing to do would be to try to find someone that would trade your QA-42A for a QA-42, which will only work on the NF tractors and should bolt on to a non-QA narrowframe tractor.

I am curious, what is this kit...???

I have not heard, seen, nor read of something like this

It was discussed on the ihcubcadet.com forum about a month or so ago. I really don't have time to go searching for it at the moment.:Work:

Nice looking 100!
I think the CW's were the snow throwers that fit the 100.
I have a CW-36 for sale if you want to come over to Indiana and get it. lol.
Good luck! :beerchug:
