got a snowfall, ran the QA42 and 147

i really wanted to try it out. first snowfall in weeks and for the most part the tractor was ready to go. engine performed flawlessly, plenty of power and eager to work. the snowthrower worked ok, but it didnt throw like all of these posts i keep seeing. it ran out of idea with that really heavy we crap out near the street. it simply wouldnt throw it. i would say that the qa42 is about equal to the performance of my 112's 37a. the part that i really enjoyed was the fact that the tractor seems to get traction no matter what. i have not had a chance to mount weights and chains yet(im going to take them off the deere for now) and this thing just has so much weight it almost doesnt matter that it doesnt have any chains on the tires. tractors performance, awesome. snowblower's performance i would rate as fair. it certainlly wasnt horrible. overall im happy. the hydrostatic drive is also allot nicer than messing around with gears and shifting. you can easily get the right speed for the job.

i would say that my engine overhaul, so far was flawless. it runs fantasic, it should last many years

what is a quick and easy way to make this thing throw better? does removal of the "fingers" in the chute help? i know about painting the inside with slip-plate and i might entertain that idea for next year, but winter only has a couple months left to go, so i dont think i will do that this year.

Make sure the belt is NOT slipping,
and the engine RPM's have to be @ 3600
