Besides having a grab bar on the front and pipe fittings in the oil pan to keep oil off of the frame when changing oil, it also appears to have two implement lift handles.

Dang you've got good eyes to spot the pipe fitting!

You could ask member Myron Bounds about this feature....He has one.

Ah, so they operate independently!

I think not...you wouldn't be able to lift much with a loader that used two manual lift handles.

Sminkey: Has any one seen it... Yup...I look at it every day and often take it to local tractor shows along with my SO76 sitting aboard a IH Model 2000 Trailer towed by a 1972 IH Model 1210 Pickup.

That photo is from my web site: www.CCSupplyRoom.com. (click enter)

The double lift handles do just that. One lifts the deck and the 3-pt lift while the other can lift a front mounted implement. There are three instances of these double handles known to exist. Apparently some 3d party manufacturer in the mid west (This one was originally sold in Iowa), using OEM parts, made and sold these to area dealers to install for customers who wanted to use a snow blade (etc.) without having to remove the deck. Any one who owns an Original can understand that.

The original owner (I'm the 3d) had that little bumper installed to keep from ramming the Bird and bashing the hood. It is removeable and a good idea, so I kept it. I installed the pipe drain to keep used oil from dribbling all over the frame and deck lift parts when I changed oil. It too is removeable...

I have since found and installed a rubber handle grip for the "naked" handle. I have also installed correct headlights, tail light and a 3-pt lift which is legit because at the time I owned an old IH/Cub Cadet dealership...."Dealer installed"!! The only thing it doesn't have is a UD-6 Underdrive.

Any more Qs??

Um nope, that answers any ?? I had. I hope you don't mind me posting a pic of your O', didn't know it was yours. I was wandering if it was an owner mod or something that was offered aftermarket(implement lift). That is a sweet Original you have there, could we see some pics of it with your other goodies installed, please?? I can understand why you'd want 2 lifts as I own 2 O's with a 3rd coming next month. The one I'm getting also has the ud-6 on it so I'll be the Proud owner of 2!! I like the oil drain too, think I'm gonna do that to my NF's. Thanks Mryon:beerchug:
