Hi from NJ

Hi Gang

I have been lurking here since about June. Lots of great helpful and knowledgeable members here, very impressive actually. Long boring story short, I got my first CC as a project to teach my sons how to work on engines and restore machinery (they wanted an old car as the first project to learn on:bigeyes:) it is a CC71 that I got from Darkminion 17, AKA Lew from Montague NJ. Glad to be accepted as a member here and looking forward to trying to be a productive part of this great community some day.

Welcome!

Welcome to the OCC forum Rich! Great place to hang out, chat, post, learn and admire other machines. Attention to detail and keeping it the original look even restored is what attracted me!

Welcome, I too only have one old cub cadet, but I now find myself wanting more, and I am sure you will find yourself doing the same.

Hello Rich!

Very nice to have ya here, especially since you have a 71:biggrin2.gif: Only 11,071 of the 71 made and It's my favorite tractor, I think:bigthink:. You picked an awesome project to teach the boys, can't wait to see some pics of your boys in action!!

Thanks for the warm welcome all.

Oops...I forgot to mention I am infected. I brought home a 782 last week(wrong color but not what you may be thinking, this one is green and yellow, not for long) with a very nice deck and a blade. Runs strong as far as I can tell engine sounds great and the trans whines but not bad, first Hydro tractor ever so what do I know. PO advertised a 682 and I had to go look because I have been hunting for a tractor with a blade for a while now, nice surprise when I got there and saw it, the hydro lift made me color blind temporarily. The 71 will be started on it's journey to new this spring but untill we can work on that one we will play with the 782 moving all this snow and make sure its up to snuff for it's intended duties.

Rich
