front pto adjustment
I was hoping someone could help me with information on how to make my own clutch adjustment tool (guage) for my 108, The original 10 hp threw a rod and I found a 12hp on craigs list without a pto so I am swapping parts from one to the other and because the pto from the 10 hp is still good I didn't wont to buy a new disc just to get the guage. In removing the pto from the end of the crankshaft I loosened the adjustment screws because I didn't know what I was doing so I know Its out of adjustment. Thanks, Skip. (zekepiks)

PTOAdjustment
I have a 1974 Model 129. Found it in a old garage. After a few months of resurrection and frustation, I got the rascal to run great. Mows the lawn in 40 minutes. Anywho, I rebuilt my PTO. A service guy at a local CC Dealership informed me to merely reinstall the sping bolts to the approximate old position and lock them in. I did this and have had zero problems. This is a simple yet forgiving type of PTO setup. Let me know how it works.
