2072 white paint part number
 

I need to repaint my 2072 and am going to start with the deck. What is the Cadet part number for white paint (spray can and quart) that is correct for this machine? Also, is this the same shade as was used on the older IH built machines?

Unless I am wrong that chart stops at the end of IH production.

I did my 1811 (1989 vintage) two years ago. Went to CC dealer for white and yellow paint.. $13 per spray can... quite pricey IMO. I got 1 yellow and 2 white for the deck, side panels etc.

Anyway 2 months later I'm in a Tractor Supply and they have the CC paint in various vintage/colors for $4.99 a can so I got 2 yellow and 2 white to finish the frame and hood then maybe put another coat on the deck next year or when I get around to it..

So if you have a TSC nearby it may be worth a look.

If you are looking for the correct shade of yellow, TSC is not the place to get it. That CC yellow is the orange-yellow for the cyclops and 2000 series tractors and is not the same as the yellow used by IH and CCC through 1989.

It depends on the intended use of the tractor and how correct you want to be. Getting hosed by the dealer is certainly no fun and, IMHO, should be avoided if possible. A few hours in the field, and that paint job is going to get dinged and dirty. Then again, it's a differant matter if you're entering it in a show.
