1450 choke questions

I have mechanically restored the 1450 my Dad bought for me to mow with in 1974. Got it when he passed in '08. Came with front blade, rear tiller, and 50" mower deck.

My choke cable will slowly work its way out while working the tractor ... have to keep pushing it back in. The end of the cable at the carb doesn't look right but I'm not sure. The cable has somewhat of a "U" shape to it, no other clamps or screws to secure it to the choke linkage. Perhaps one of you guys might snap a photo of the cable where it connects to the carb?

I will post pics later ... I have pics of me and my Dad operating the 1450 new and of me operating it this past summer. I cleared 10" of snow with it this week.

Thanks, Grant,
Grand Blanc, MI
