What can you tell me about the Ih cub cadet 1000?
 

I just bought a cub cadet 1000. Im trying to find out anything I can about it so I can make sure it is all there. It does run. The mower deck is a 38 inch its says model 38a. I need the center pully/bearing. its gone. thanks for all the info.

First of all, got any pics, we all love pics! The 1000 is built like a tank. It is considered a quietline, so make sure the engine isn't shaking all over the place. When the iso mounts go bad, the engine moves tearing up the drive line, clutch plate, flex plate, etc. These parts can get very pricey!! Does it have a creeper or rear lift?? BTW, do ya have any pics:biggrin2:.

Make sure it's got the side panels. Those end up missing. It is in the QL series. It has a 10 hp kohler motor. Pics would be very helpful. My 1200 rides very smooth. The pulley can be found for it by contacting the site sponsor at the top of every page or by posting a want ad in the wanted section of the site.

Wow that was fast. Ill post some pics later today. It has a spot on the panel that says creeper and there is a slot there but no arm sticking out. I did get the side panels with it. Ir does have the 10hp motor but it does shake a little bit. There is no 3point on the back. Thanks

They all had the slot and decal for the creeper. Good news on the side panels! They can get costly to replace. If it's shaking it's time for new ISO mounts. Failure to replace them and you'll end up damaging the rest of the drive line. Not replacing the ISO mount can and will put a hurting on your $$$. My 1200 rides smooth. Contact your local cub dealer or one of the site sponsers listed above for replacement ISO mounts. Ther are not cheap but worth the money in how well the ride will be and save you on drive line parts.

One quick question. The brake pedal on the left stayes down. I have to pull it back up. Is there a spring that is suppose to pull it back up? Thanks

Does it have internal or external brakes? Part # 12.

External....is that good?

Probably a broken, worn, or missing return spring. The clutch spring should push the pedal back up, sometimes not all the way though.
