451 Blower - What to Look For
 

I see a 451 blower on CL fairly close to me. In the pictures it looks pretty well used:

What are the main things to look for on a used blower? Lash when turning pulley by hand? Smoothness when turning? I may take a look and would like some pointers, thanks in advance!

I would look a the two gear boxes and makes sure they are in good shape. The other thing to look at is the spline from the impeller shaft to the gearbox. Also the two pulleys might be bad.
