1974 149 Blade duty
2 Attachment(s)
65 degrees and windy yesterday and today. My gravel drive got real soft in some places after the snow melted. Beautiful breezy day to get the 149 out and earn her keep with the blade. 1/2" crushed rock moved and spread well with the machine. Waiting on nashcub's #40 copy for the rear, also I have another set of IH weights coming. Those are 52 lb ea.lead ingots already mounted and will mount the IH weights in front of the lead. Plan on prep & IH 935 paint for the blade on the front which is from a spread frame tractor. About the cab: IT'S LOUD INSIDE! I wear ear plugs. IT'S WARM INSIDE! When the sun is out it can get hot in there...doors,rear window and front canvas will be coming off this spring. All in all a great worker, strong hydro with little creep.I recon I'll be keeping this one...and the grandkids love it!

That's a good lookin 149  |
I did the same thing today with my 129 and blade. Had several pot holes and a very big muddy spot at the turn around point. I have never moved anything with a blade and Cub before, so I had no idea how well it would work. Dang I was amazed. I got the wife to do a little video while I worked on the drive for a bit. Will post it up later once it is uploaded and ready. I didn't remove the skids. They will be coming off tomorrow.. LOL. Also I noticed the blade leans downwards more to the left. Is there anyway to straighten these things up?
Pic of the 129 taken today. It's not pretty but it sure works good. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...2/Image002.jpg |
Nice 149
Finally fix my 149 that broke the rollpin, when you're visiting. Had to remove the drive shaft, also the drive hub broke on the flywheel. Re-welded the back of shaft to center the shaft better. Now the shaft runs true. :Cub6: |

I'm so jealous of the weather!! Got me thinking about moving south, again!!! Love the snow, but don't like spending $$$$ to heat the shop. Would be nice to live where I could work on the cubs year round, comfortably:biggrin2: That 129 would look much nicer with a set of IH wheel weights on it:beer2:
