A little progress on the 1450
If you follow the column to the dash you will see where the PO brought the steering gear through the dash.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...agon/mess2.jpg After a little work after work. Not perfect but much better. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19.../cubdash-2.jpg From the bottom, you can see how large the patch is. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19.../cubdash-3.jpg |
Stayed after work today and pulled the column apart. I do not think the PO had any wrenches, just a torch.:bash: This will be an easy fix, but still, why??

And once I get the dash sanded and painted, I've had this little goody from Patton Acres laying around. Just need to get the insert and a choke cable.

Anybody got an unused lever and shaft for the hydraulics they want to part with?? I may just make one of my own design as this is not a restoration.
Also, here is a shot of my wasted K321 crank on top and the M12 crank on the bottom. Still need to turn down the PTO side and my piston needs to hurry up and get here so I can get the piston/rod combo weight to match the M12 combo. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...gon/cranks.jpg |
Wow! I want him to work on my tractor. Not only can he not use a wrench, it appears he can't use a torch either.
You did a good job with the patch, looks good. |
Your repairs are looking great! Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to following your progress!

Thank ya'll for the kudos. This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as PO neglect and plain ignorance is concerned. I bought this machine for the 3 point hitch, but after using it on my 1200, I want the hydraulics. Can't wait to get it all back together.

Hydro's are hard to beat :biggrin2:. I have a gear drive too and it has it's purposes but I do prefer the hydro units.
