Will it fit? Urgent!!

I just got off work and seen an ad for a cub snowblower. I am on my way there now (30 min away)and just want to throw this out there in case a search turns nothing up. He said he is not sure what model it was on, but he knows that it was a narrow frame. He said the model number is a c 36 and I am think I need a QA model not a C. It kinda sounds like it is for an older NF cub because it's nit a quick attach. My question is can it be converted to a quick attach? He only wants $50 and it looks like its in decent shape. Thanks in advance

for $50 even if it doesn't work maybe you could flip it??

I'm assuming it's a CW-36. That will only fit a NF tractor.

But would that fit on a 147 if it's not a QA unit?

Sminkey 03-05-2011 05:07 PM

Yes, will fit a 147, could be a cc36 thrower also, I have that on my 71. Also have a cw36. There are only for NF's.

Am I right I'm thinking that all NF throwers are bolt on becides the QA -- models? Also anyone have a pic of the mount because he said he modified it a bit. Thanks

Yes, any model throwers before the qa36 will be bolt on only. Kind of a pain in the butt, but only takes me 5 minutes to hook up or disconnect it. What mount are you talking about??

Yamaguy 03-05-2011 05:38 PM

Thanks for the pics. I bought it and will post pics as soon as I get home. The mount doesn't look like I have all of it, plus it's all belt drive except the auger chain.

No problem! If you need more let me know. I can get some much better and closer pics. It's belt drive from pto to gearbox, then driveshaft to auger chain. Looking forward to the pics:biggrin2:

here's a link to the cw36 thrower: http://onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7433

Alright I got it home and tool a few pics. The only tag is the identification number C36U1111. It is in overall great condition and eventhough i don't think it will work on the 147, was a great deal at $40. Any info on what you guys see?
