1440 CCC Storage

3 Attachment(s)
Went down to the barn today to get my 1440 out of winter storage, took some air and fresh 93 octane, batt was still hot and fired right up. Drove it to the shop and installed a correct plastic grille new from Patton Acres. Got to pull the deck and do some maint. plus fresh oil & filter. Tractor has 580 hrs. and is very good on fuel plus a good ride. If I find a set of deck/pulley covers she will be complete!

The 'brush guard' appears pretty stout!! Probably a nice addition, since the body work is plastic.

I stopped at a yard sale last summer and they had two of these tube grille guards NOS for a Craftsman SGT. I gave $10 for both and sold one on ebay that brought $50! Had to cut original mount and weld angle iron with the holes already drilled. Two bolts to mount and remove like offered as a option but a little more beffy built to help protect the plastic.

My lord, that is the nicest 1440 I have ever seen. Puts mine to shame! I agree with you, these are really fuel efficient. I havent filled mine up since early January, and I've probably worked it 15 hours.

I have to echo these guys in saying that is one nice ride!

My Grandmother in law has one, but it has been beat to death. Not sure I would even want it.

I would love to have a grille guard like that for my 2284. Really makes the tractor look stout.
