Leatherman multi-tools
I had a leatherman and broke it. I was going to send it in but didn't want to go without it so I bought another one to replace it until my old one got repaired and sent back. I never ended up turning the old one in and ended up breaking the new one. So I started using the old one for parts for the new one until I ran out of good parts. So now I had 1 with a bunch of broken/missing parts and one broken just enough to need replacing. Which also has had the nose of the pliers ground down to match the side that broke off. After all that tampering/modifications I thought I was probably screwed for repair warranty. I sent an email explaining what I did and why and they said no problem. They said normally they don't want you taking them apart but because I didn't know they would check it out. So for $5 and some change I sent them to Portland, Oregon. They must of been pretty well used because they replace both with new ones. I also got a cool bumper sticker. Isn't it cool to have an AMERICAN MADE company treat there customers so well.
Now I'm a happy camper with my leatherman back.
