It is a brushhog "style" but it is meant to be a finishing mower. I found new blades for it at a VERY old Woods/IH dealer with about two inches of dust on them. The old ones had been sharpened down to about half their size and 3/4 the length. Now it cuts like a laser!
I kept the old blades for decoration, and to laugh at every once in a while.
