First, are you sure it is a 551 not a 451 or even a 450. The 551 is not officially listed for the 2082 even though it might work. The 551 will "mount" on the 982.
The 2082 came two ways, with either a 4.5 or a 6 inch PTO pulley, the 982 has a 4.5 inch pulley.
As a series the 450, 451 and 551 are similar in that they will all fit 82 and cyclops tractors. The difference is in the gear boxes and input pulleys.
450 input 15 teeth key, output 28 spline, smaller input pulley, for 4.5" PTO
451 input 12 teeth key, output 31 spline, same as above, for 6" PTO
551 input 15 teeth spline, output 28 teeth spline, large input pulley, for 6" PTO
Now you need to go back and look at what you actually have for both the tractor and the blower. You may get lucky and have the right combination.
