The RPM's are not the problem, it's well within the ball bearing's range.
You will end up using a different length belt by about 1"---- BTDT on my 782.
I made up a set of solid mule pulleys using a common 203 bearing but the pulley blank was larger so I need a longer belt.
Not a real problem but it becomes a situation that you need to go to a special order belt not something that is avail @ cub cadet.
