1862 hydraulic pressure vs. 1811
I am in the process of acquiring parts and info to put power steering on my 1811 I have the steering cylinder, front axle and steering valve out of an 1862 but am unsure of the hydraulic pump charge pressure and lift pressure of the 1862 and could not find a manual online to give me this specification. Has any one ever done this swap? Does adding power steering to a hydraulic system require more pressrue to run it? The 82 series manual listed in the manuals section here shows the 782 having a lift pressure of 500 psi to 625 psi and the 982 having lift pressure of 700 psi to 900 psi but the 982 does not have power steering. Is the extra lift pressure do to the heavier implements it uses? Thanks for any help or insight on this, Wally
