Nice work man! I'am worried about sealing up the case. I would like to suggest using something other than a blue rtv sealent between the metal and cork.
Indian Head Gasket Sealer is fool proof. The stuff is a dark brown thick liquid that is about like molasses. You would smear it on both sides of the metal case and let it tack up about 20 minuts. Set the gasket: it will stick pretty good. Then I smear the sealent on the top of the cork and let set up. Then assemble.
I'am sure you have it covered, but just giving a opinion. Once I started using Indian Head, I never went back to silicone blue rtv-type stuff.
I keep thinking how nice it would be to have a restored IH # 1 tiller on back of a restored IH Cub Cadet! = Awesome!
