Well yesterday I dragged the 124 in the shack and proceeded to defrost the frozen tranny.Pulled the fenders off and the shifter and the hytran was filled to the top.
I stuck a screwdriver in there to see how far down the ice was. It was only down about an inch...
So after 6 hrs of defrosting with a block heater,brooder lamp, and a dipstick heater, it finally was time to let it loose.How much water does a nf tranny hold?
So I remove the plug and out came a gushing of hydro not hytran.It was like Niagara Falls...It filled up the 6 qt container I used,I plugged it with my finger,switched containers and let out the rest.
So how much?
2 1/4 gallons.
I pulled the rear cover off and it was not bad at all in there so I wiped out the gunk.
Looks like Saturday I will put it back together.
