I just wanted to share this story with everyone. This summer our sickle bar mower broke. My Dad found one on Craigslist in Delmont PA. We went down to the farm where it was at. It was a huge farm. There were two guys there. My Dad looked the new mower over and decided to take it. While trying to figure out ways to load it on my Dad's work truck, the one guy named Dave who was drunk and swearing up a storm, was the worker on the farm. He had to go get some tools down at the house so he left. My Dad started talking to the other guy named Al. My Dad started asking him about what he did. He said he worked a Children s Hospital as a nurse taking care of leukemia kids that were on their last days. He said he brings them to his farm and let's them do stuff at the farm and enjoy there last moments here. My Dad also asked him if he went to church, and he does. He said that it is hard to see those kids like that knowing that they may not see tomorrow. He also told us about Dave. Dave turned out to be a veteran and a government certified welder. But some years earlier his wife left him and he started to hit the bottle. So Al took him in and gave him a home and food to eat. They were very nice, though Dave complained that there was no help and he was the help. I just wanted to share my story. We need more people in the world like Al.
