I ended up mounting it on the same side, I just flipped it and made 2 new brackets and mounted one off the gas tank bolts on the rear of the engine and one off the bottom bolt on the starter generator. I welded some thick steel on there to keep them stiff and it seems to work well.

Oh, I splurged and got a real belt... no more safty wire.

Now I just need some Tri Ribbed front tires. As you know, its ALOT harder to steer.

Steve, glad you got it figured out! Depending what you use for fluid it could be 8-12 lbs per gal of fluid. I got 92lbs with loaded tires using 8 oz dawn and water in my 10.50's That new belt will last you for many more years to come.
