Well, I got the steering shaft shortened last night. It was way to long and looked goofy. I built a jig out of angle iron and tubing to keep the shaft straight for welding it back together. I welded the angle to the tubing and then cut a section out of the angle. This way it is perfectly lined up and once the shaft is welded you have room to spin it and weld the other side.
It came out good and since the shaft doesn't go through any bushings, bearings it didn't need to be turned down so I left a little extra weld on it just in case.
Now onto other pita things that need attention.
