Thanks everyone. These Cubs are new to me and I'm kind of learning the history of post IHC to the present, including the cyclops tractors.
I gather that after the 82 series from IH, CCC kept making that style tractor with steel hood and from there went to the cyclops style? After the cyclops style the went to the rounded hooded 3000 series style?
When did the 82 series style end, the cyclops begin/end and the 3000 series begin? I think I read somewhere the plastic cyclops hoods were prone to breakage? Was this a spotty problem or are real cause for avoiding these tractors?
It's funny - in my neck of the woods, the most garden tractors we saw back in the day were Deere and Sear Suburbans. I regret having missed out on these IH/CCC tractors.
