I've gone through quite a few mule drive belts over the years, but for me deck belts don't tend to go as often. Make sure the idler pulley is putting tension on the belt, idler pulley moves free and easy, and all 3 spndles turn free and smooth.

Now that you've had your share of troubles you'll be running trouble free for the rest of the year! That's a really solid tractor, your little guy will be running it when he's a teenager.
