Subtitled: Read the directions!!!
I had my deck off this winter. Put it on last night to cut the grass - got half done, stopped for dinner, went back out to finish and noticed the deck wasn't cutting. Looked underneath and the PTO belt was shredded.

Now, this Cub came to me with an unknown history, so that belt might be a gazillion years old and ready to let go, but...

maybe I should have looked carefully after attaching the deck, to make sure the belt was clear and the deck was really level.

Anyway, now I have 2 problems:
1. I need a new belt.
2. Looking at how it was attached, I'm seriously concerned about what you have to take apart to get the new belt on.

I guess I better read the directions.
