As mentioned, you are the perfect candidate to let into the IH Cub Cadet club.
I like the unique crossroads features of the 147 (First Cub GT with 14hp, electric lift and last of the narrow frames), and I am currently restoring one from the frame up. However, a 129 or 149 might be a better choice. The wide frames have a bit more room inside the chassis to work with, and the hydraulic lift is probably a bit more dependable.
Take your time and try not to pounce on the first basket case you come across. Basket cases can be rewarding to bring back to life, but start off with something you can get up and running fairly quickly.
