I know how you feel, but it will get better. When I first brought my 1572 home, I worked on it the whole first summer. It had a good service history, but there were a lot little things wrong. Fuel pump, wiring issues, belts, etc. This biggest problem I had was the PTO would just turn off. Then you could turn it back on, mow a few minutes and then turn off again. I checked everything, worked on it for 2 days. I went through the whole schematic and was at my wist end. I studied the drawing some more and noticed the it had a jumper for the optional pto which I do not have. I said to myself, you must find that jumper. It was behind the battery. It was all corroded and that was where I was loosing enough voltage for the PTO relay to drop out. I know it gets frustrating but you have a better mower then the new ones made today. My brother in law sold me a 1810 that I am going to try and get started today. He has a 3 year old green mower and the 1810 is a better mower than it. It will get better.
