Thanks guys for the Kohler manual. It was a real help. I ended up adjusting the gov shaft and then also move the spring down one hole. I put a digital tach on the engine and ended up that my low idle was only about 1050 which was way lower than the recommended 1600. I brought it up to 1500 and it idles soo much smoother now. On the high throttle I was maxing out at 3050 and the manual stated a max rpm of 3600 so I raised it up to 3500rpm. Now it is running beautiful again and almost no gov hunting at all.
