You better double check the Kohler service manual.......Page 1.4 of a Kohler Service manual wants the owner to use 30 weight oil above 32 degrees, between 0 to 30 degrees use 10W-30 and if you see temps below 0 degrees use 5W-20 or 5W-30.

I've tried synthetic oil in the past. Every engine I tried it in leak oil. I didn't see enough improvement to justify the added cost.


Last summer I replaced the rear differental in my Suburban with an Eaton diff.......Eaton instructions said not to use synthetic oil with their diff.

Some think synthetic is the best thing since slice cheese.....In my book it's garbage.
