I have a 1541, and my daddy has a 1641, both not up running 100% just yet and perfect... However both being equal I would choose the 1541 as it seems to be built better.. They look like the same frame etc, however from a garden tractor standpoint the 1541 has the plus... Also I have been a B&S person in the past, but I would rather have the Magnum 18 (labeled as a magnum 15 in the 1541)
Get both of them that way you will have no worries LOL, sometimes that's the best answer
