The BB36 was designed for the Originals which didn't normally have an engine mounted PTO clutch. They have a system to engage the thrower mounted on the unit. The CW36 was designed for the bolt on tractors from 70/100 - 1x2/3 series that mostly had engine mounted PTO's.

As far as which is better or what not, I can't help you there. I've got a CW36 only and I've never got to use it yet. I didn't get it mounted until it was too late last winter. I'll be ready this time though. I'm mounting it to my 127.

Good luck,
Keith
