The yellow 682's are MTD built and built for non-IH dealerships. They still painted them red for IH dealerships after the sellout to MTD until 1985. They are the same tractor as the red ones. I personally would paint it red if I got it but that's just me

. They are good tractors. They have the aluminum rear end for sure which could be why its pulled. They have a tendency to come loose at the frame and cause issues. Even if its broke, cast iron rear ends with non-ported pumps seem to be dime-a-dozen to throw in it. Good price? I don't know... $300 needing work, $500+ running and operational. Note the + sign after the $500 as they can go double that sometimes running. Just my .02 on it.
