Here's a quick and dirty way... I've done something similar on my cub deck, use the back edge and attach a strip across it using carriage bolts (head on the inside of the deck) and a piece of flat stock to help keep the mat on. I don't have a pic, but I've actually doubled the mat on my exmark because that rubber wasn't quite heavy enough to bend the grass good.
