I looked at JD's when I needed a big mower for my place but they were about $5K more then the Kubota new. I purchased my Kubota B7500 in 2001 and put 1050 hours on it so far with no major problems. I change the motor oil every 100 hours and the fuel and air every 200 hours. All other fluids are original in it and the original battery last 10 years. Mine has a 60" belly mower that will mow grass knee high with no problem and still has the original deck belt. My neighbor worked at a JD dealer that is now closed and he was telling me that they (JD) were having a hard time competing with Kubota.
