please help me set up my tiller
I have a 1650 SN 660859 that has a mule drive to a 50A deck. Therefore it has the angles pulleys. I am trying to hook up a #1 tiller to it. When looking at the tiller belt chart nothing really matches up to my situation. From the chart It looks to me like both #1 and #2’s use the same tiller tine drive belts? I have a wideframe with an electric PTO. So what PTO belt do I need? I do not have a angle drive yet and keep hearing about ½ and 5/8. Is just the lower pulley on the angle drive a different size? If so it seems I need the smaller one? These belts are pricey and want the right one. From my serial number I guess I should have a #2 tiller using the IH-61959-C1 7/16 X 145-1/2 BELT. 7/16 is under ½. My mower drive belt calls for 3/8 x 79, so 7/16 kinda makes sense. I have a ½ on it now and it fills the pulley up. Looking at the 2 series manuals it says those equipped with a 50” rotary mower, a tiller front drive package will be required. Do I need this package? I guess it is different pulleys and hangers that go straight back instead of angling my belt like the offcenter mower deck. If I have to change out the pullys I would rather get a different mule drive and set it up for this. Are the solid steel pulleys required? What all kinda mule drives will fit on mine if needed. I guess I could get angled ones and straighten out the hangers. I’m sure I have confused anyone that has read this also. Any help would be appreciated. pictures of setups would be great.
does anyone have a drawing of the tiller lift bar? i do not have one and can turn one down and drill the holes on the mill. i just need dimensions.
