Take another look at the pics in post#1.
I would bet Methos 1650 that the one pictured is a CAT 1 hookup!!
The top link hole is 3/4" - not 5/8" like CAT 0.
The bottom links have CAT 1 pins on the inside.
There is so little difference between CAT 0 and CAT 1, that if you had the CAT 1 tiller and added $30 max at TSC, the tiller would be connected!!

Our local dealer got a quote on the cat 0 tiller from Befco. (it can still be put together with replacement cat 0 parts) unfortunately, I can't justify $2,750 plus tax for a tiller that would not work on a newer tractor if I ever wanted to replace the 1772. .... plus all I mainly want it for is to till our garden.
Note to self: .... keep looking for used.....
