Default First day on the sled!

Well,

We had the Original hooked up to the sled for the first time today. My son pulled it once in the 1050 (Kids) class and I pulled it in the 1050 (Adults). It only wieghed in at 850lbs so, we were giving up a LOT on weight.

It has 8.5" ags on it and I was curious to see how the belt would do under those conditions. Turns out, that it did rather well! Never heard a squeak out of it, but the tires sure did spin.

He pulled in low and I pulled it in 2nd. He pulled 102ft and I pulled 96". (It was a LONG drive home)

I've got a line on a set of 10.5 ags and I might try them next month. Overall, the little tractor did fine. In fact, I'll be learning to throttle back a little bit. We've been thinking at some point we'll do a ring/gasket job on the ol' girl and while we were talking to a guy there, he said he had a good engine that he would GIVE us so that we could go through that one while we still have the engine running in ours! It was a good day and Jr. said he had a great time. What more could you ask for?
