Well, since my 682 died, my wife expressed her displeasure that I was wasting time and money on my old tractors. She opined that it would be smarter for me to spend a little more and buy a newer tractor that would work without me having to work on it all the time. That idea appeals to me.
So...I am looking at a 3204, a 2182, and a 2284...
and a few green ones, all around $2,000.
Can anybody talk to me about these three models? My requirements are that they have hydraulics and be capable of adding a Cat 0 three point. I mostly need it for mowing, but I will use it for other work, like dragging deadwood, grading gravel, and gardening. I have no interest in a simple lawn tractor. I like things that last a long time and that have parts available, unlike the KT17 in my 682. I like the Kohler Command engine of the 3204 and 2284, as well as the Kubota water-cooled three cylinder on the 2182.
All three of these tractors are at least 2.5 hours drive from me, so I need to ask good questions on the phone. Your help would be appreciated.
